There is very little known about the realm of consciousness and like all truths, will be greatly contested. The idea that something greater could be taking place is foreign to the human mind.

It is far too simplistic to state that you gained your identity of who you consider yourself to be from your parents, religion, or the educational system, and yet most people can certainly recount specific incidences in which their identity was affected in one way or another in one or more of those three environments. But, of course, there’s a lot more going on. Your identity is almost certainly going to be intertwined with reference points outside of yourself.

I know of no other practice other than meditation that stands the chance of helping you make progress in your life. Meditation is the only art that you can practice but never master and at the same time, become a master.

In spite of all of the limitations and barriers that you face in your physical, horizontal world, you will achieve mastery by no longer dividing and separating the events of your life as good or bad but by unifying every event in your life as part of truth-consciousness, part of the Divine, part of God. For everything here is a tool of truth-consciousness, including you.

Simply put, if your experiences are dictating your behavior, then you are not in control. Your past is in control, making you out of control.

Each life is different with the soul selecting unique circumstances each lifetime to move along the evolutionary pathway toward that intended goal. What I was able to learn was that your birth is not the beginning of who you are and your death is not the end of who you are.

There are two versions of consciousness. One is spirit and the other is physical matter. They both share consciousness as their source and essence.

You may be experiencing your life just like that: a lot of motion that is mostly commotion, a lot of action that is mostly agitation. But no matter where you go, life is everywhere, the unfolding of life is everywhere and each of your moment is a magical tapestry being woven in the playground of planet earth, most of the time without you even being aware of the sacredness of each of those to what appears to be mundane moments.

Before birth, before you come into the world as an individual, you belong to the whole. The vast. The illimitable. The Godhead. The All That Is. Spirit. Truth-Consciousness. But when the being, you, comes into physical form, the being is individualized, separate, different from others, sees all others from its point of view, regards its individual version of reality as truth and disregards others’ realities, seeing itself as the center of the world in which it is operating

Because the condition of separation is a dominant condition of most human beings, it’s not hard at all to then think that the spiritual, that God herself, must be somewhere else. The Divine is this but I am that. Limited to the sensory world and habit, it’s no wonder you live a life of addiction to the mental, physical and emotional patterns. It’s like living in a box and the directions to getting out of the box are taped on the outside of the box

If you accept the notion that your Self is concealed by way of the ego, by way of your mind, that, of course, it would be impossible to see who the other person, much less anybody, really is.

Said in a different way, if you don’t know who you are, then how can you know who the other person is?

It turns out that what you want in life is the same thing is what you get whether you’re aware of it or not. You generate the concept in your mind and then you express it in your body. Then you express it in the world through your actions. So, the object is to change the thought which you can do right now

The first way is that transformation chooses you and when that happens, there’s nothing you can do about it. Now, the second way transformation occurs is through personal choice and the problem with personal choice is that you have time and you can choose when to start and stop.

At heart, there are very few beings who are not enamored of struggle. There are very few who would consent to having no darkness or who can conceive of light as anything other than the opposite of obscurity.

Only a change in consciousness is going to save us from ourselves and we take the position that that will happen through the individual.

You can’t solve the problem because you don’t know what the problem is. Make as many positive changes as you can. But truth is going to come from somewhere else.

Aspiration is the ladder as you seek the mastery of your life, the perfection of your beautiful self, increasing your knowledge of how your beautiful self works from the inside out. The ascending effort of aspiration is met, has to be met, with the descending power of God, of Truth, of reality, of consciousness, whatever you want to call it as the old you is not reconciled but canceled out.

Developing and training your mind to transcend this divide can require a lot of patience and strength; it requires a lot of humility to see and admit your own stupidity and mental limitations.

The object of your life in the tossing and turning of the daily grind IS reaching the realization that you ARE the joy, not that you just have joy but that you ARE the joy. You ARE the thing from which you have come…and always will be, no matter how you destroy yourself, no matter how you cloak your mind with ignorance and judgment and belief.
