Getting Out of the Box and Into Your True Self
Before you can become who you're capable of becoming, you first have to become who you're not.
In this episode, Terry and Haydn explore the individuation process, the psychological journey Carl Jung described as moving away from the masks we build in childhood and toward our true, whole self. They trace how a negative ground of being takes shape early in life (that inner voice insisting you're not good enough, smart enough, or worthy) and how it quietly drives a lifetime of acquiring, achieving, and preserving in search of a security that never actually arrives.
Terry and Haydn share personal stories, from a humiliating moment in a junior high hallway to a bicycle accident that changed the course of Haydn's life, to illustrate a truth at the center of this work: nothing that happens to you is accidental. Every setback, every rejection, every difficulty is part of the process of consciousness realizing itself in and through you.
If you've ever felt like you're standing just outside the life you're meant to live, this conversation is an invitation to step out of the box and start seeing the truth that's been there all along.
