Time is an Instrument of the Soul
There’s not a day that goes by whether at home or at work, that you are not witness to people’s opinions opposing one another, each claiming to be right, each feeling a strong attachment to their version of the truth.
Yes, you did. No, I didn’t.
The world of duality creates a mass of problems that you wonder if progress can ever be made under these conditions. There’s your opinion, there’s my opinion and then there’s the truth, which is also pressing for itself to be made known, to come forward. Always trying to satisfy this inner impulse of being right, of being in control, of maintaining safety and balance in the world, of increasing your prosperity, of being loved and appreciated. It is all of this and more of these dynamics that you have been trying to resolve since you were born.
There is no not engaging in this process and as you have experienced throughout your life, it is a laborious process. As long as consciousness, an understanding of your existence, and the laws that govern your existence are known, it’s a gambler’s game of chance and accident, hoping that maybe this time, this time, your efforts will finally culminate in satisfaction. This is, of course, rare, but there are a few who win the lottery. But as your consciousness is, so will your life be.
I can say the same thing about your mind, as your mind is, so will your life be, and that’s true but if you would be willing to focus on increasing your understanding of consciousness, you get to address both. For consciousness can use the mind and can cause the mind to reorganize itself to be put in service to something grander. But until you make progress with your mind, your movements through life can be an appalling list of bad decisions, mechanically obeying the laws of an unaware and unconscious mind that sees only the sensory and material worlds and is incapable of seeing, much less understanding, the divine purpose, and unfolding of your life. Being stuck in the box without any knowledge of how to get out of the box other than continuing to punch at the walls of the box, guarantees your suffering.
So, here you have a long list of problems that are going to appear on a daily basis throughout the course of your life, taking its toll on the mental, physical and emotional elements of your being.
There is little that you understand about what you see other than the surface stuff. Below and out of touch lies the divine unfolding of your life and all of the forces and wisdom that were contained in the seed of your existence. But what you can’t see, as far as the mind is concerned, doesn’t exist. What you can’t see, you can’t understand. What you can’t understand, you can’t govern. What you can’t govern, owns and governs you.
Because there is little you understand about yourself, there is little you understand about others. Your mind can only produce concepts of relational qualities and limited inferences about who the other person is. The elements of your mental, physical and emotional bodies are often in disagreement with one another as to what to do, what is real, what should be accepted and what should be avoided. The mind is constantly at war with the body, using the body to satisfy its own mental, egotistical needs. Your dominant, emotional patterns are also constantly at war with your body, seeking to use it to satisfy its cravings and desires. The mind says yes, the body says no. The emotions say yes, the mind says no way. The anguish that you see out in the world is your own anguish.
This is just the closed tape loop, the mechanical, mindless meandering from one watering hole to another but never finding a home. It’s a clashing and gnawing of wills, each, meaning the mental, physical and emotional, having its own agenda. This is not knowledge. This is information. Information comes from the sensory, outer world. Knowledge comes from the invisible, inner world. A true understanding of information reveals that things are never as they seem. Knowledge which is Truth is stable and if you look carefully and honestly, you can see that you are not. And neither am I. And that’s perfectly OK.
Being aware that you’re not aware is self-awareness.
But equilibrium in life comes from a balance of the two which we call the horizontal and the vertical. It’s a balance of information and knowledge. But overload on either side and your life will fall out of balance. The knowledge that you truly seek, as you wander in the deserts of the material world, is an existence that is aware of itself. It is a conscious identity that comes through self-realization. And I am suggesting that until you become a student of your life, you cannot become a master of your life. I am suggesting that until you become a student of your forces, the horizontal and vertical that are running your life, you cannot become a master of your life.
The vertical, consciousness, knowledge is the king of the horizontal, self-awareness, and information. Your path, whether taken this lifetime or another, is the realization that you are a conscious being in a conscious being in an unconscious world. Consciousness alone can create unity in a world of chaos. And this brings us back to the horizontal and vertical planes of your existence. I want to and need to repeat some of what I shared with you in the previous message about these planes.
There are just some things that need to be frequently reviewed and repeated in the vertical as much as they are treated in the horizontal.
So, to begin with, Peter Ouspensky was a Russian esotericist who spent a lifetime pursuing a greater understanding of consciousness and the miraculous. In his 1931 book, A New Model of the Universe,” he says, “Time does not proceed endlessly in a straight line, is always and everywhere a closed curve, although in the scale of our three-dimensional perception we do not see either that this line is curved or that it is closed. The closed curve from the fourth dimension or the circle of time is the life existence of every living thing. All things born in time follow this pattern of development.”
Robert Wilkinson, a gifted astrologer, and scholar is part of our work here at TruthSpring, stated “Many people familiar with astrology have witnessed the occurrence of certain coincidences between the events and experiences of their lives, the position of the planets in the heavens, and the cycles through which we are passing. The most perceptive have observed that these coincidences occur in an astonishingly systematic manner. The existence of such synchronicity strongly suggests that the universe is a very different place than the one our modern world view has assumed.”
These astrological coincidences implied three things:
That the universe is patterned in a way that relates in time and space directly to the human being. That a hidden order exists in what appears to be the random cycles of human life, revealing a profound correspondence and equivalence between the individual and the universe he inhabits.
That the universe is structured according to certain formative principles or archetypes that are not merely mechanistic but are vividly personal and humanly meaningful. These archetypal patterns are based on time, that mysterious condition of the universal mind alone that makes the ordering of the universe in space possible.
That the secrets of the universe can be unveiled by the human mind in conjunction with one’s own lived experience. Because the operative principles of the macrocosm are the same principles with which human experiences directly aligned and intimately familiar. Since the same center which gave birth to the universe is also the core of the human being, the unveiling of this soul center in the individual grants an immediate realization of true consciousness or Enlightenment. For this reason, applied cosmology or astrology represents a unique avenue into a new and enlightened worldview. The Gnostic Circle is the most effective method for achieving this new understanding because it deals with the soul or seed of the divine in each created thing and its relation to time and the process of becoming.”
It’s important for me at this point that share that in the spiritual experience I had in 1987 when I thought I had died. I experienced what Ouspensky and Wilkinson state. I experienced the curvature of space and realized that time was also spherical, not linear, and therefore, the distance and time that existed between objects were far less than what the mind is capable of understanding. I would go so far as to say that it was immediate, that the distance between where I thought I was and where I went in the experience was immediate and it took no time to get there. So, mine is not just an intellectual understanding but a lived experience of what Ouspensky and Wilkinson talk about. To say that the experience changed my life is an understatement. In fact, it is still changing my life
So, I want to examine that more carefully and I want to go back to the vertical and horizontal planes. Time is the process you use to journey. When the journey is enjoyable, time flies. When the journey is painful, time crawls to a halt. Time is the vehicle by which the unfolding occurs, is the nexus of your individual cosmos, it is the nexus of both the vertical and horizontal planes. And what are those?
The vertical axis represents the contracting force of consciousness, of the unified whole, the one existence, God, the pressures of Time, your existence. The horizontal plane is the ever-widening plane of space, of your becoming, moving through all of the extraordinary experiences.
When your life is going well, you move outwardly in the horizontal in an expanded manner. When your life is going badly, you move inwardly along the vertical in a contracted manner. But both the horizontal and the vertical are interwoven and are not separate.
You have now not just created a center but you have become a center that can hold in the middle of the storms of life.
As the contracting forces over not just a single lifetime but many lifetimes are exerted on your being, the distance between you and THAT, God, lessens until some point in the vertical/horizontal/time-space continuum, the space between you and God disappears and you become IT, realizing that you were always IT. You have now not just created a center but you have become a center that can hold in the middle of the storms of life. You have touched the fulcrum of existence, the foundation upon which to erect your horizontal dreams and desires…not because you need to but because you choose to as an expression of who you are.
But if you don’t know this, then it’s a crapshoot, sitting around hoping that it’s going to work, wishing that your life was different. It’s the repetitive circling of the closed tape loop in your mind that keeps accessing the same old information in your mind that never got you what you wanted in the first place. But that’s all that it knows and remains imprisoned in this closed tape loop.
This horizontal loop can be viewed from a vertical conceptual lens called the Gnostic Circle. Patrizia Noreilli Bachelet, author of “The Gnostic Circle: A Synthesis of the Harmonies in the Cosmos,” states: “The Gnostic circle allows us to measure the progression of any event in time. And it provides the means of assessing and events relevant to time and place within a global universal context. Above all, it permits us to appreciate the interconnectedness of events through a unified, spherical approach to time.”
The Gnostic Circle is a yardstick that can be applied to any event and by which that event or object may be made to reveal its intrinsic nature and objective value. In ancient literature and tradition, such a tool was sometimes referred to as the Goldenrod or the philosopher’s stone. Its value resided in the fact that because of its special relation to time and space, could provide an objective means to assess the truth-conscious substance of any given situation or event, or object. In a word, it could objectively reveal the element’s inner pulse and place within the greater harmony of life on earth and within the solar system.
The Gnostic circle looks at your life in a circular, 9-year cycle in four stages of 2.25 years over the course of the 12 points of the zodiac and the 9 points of the solar system. Those four quadrants are the physical, the emotional, the mental, and the spiritual. The beginning of your birth took place at the 0 point, and directly opposite of the 0 point on the circle is the hallway point of the circle, called the 4.5 point. That’s the movement through the physical of 2.25 years and the emotional of 2.25 years.
For example, let’s say you are 40 years old. 4 + 0 = 4. This puts you on the 4 point of the Gnostic circle, moving toward the 5 point. This is an area where a major shift occurs. It is characterized by unexpected happenings injected into the process which alter the process significantly. The 4.5 is connected to the one or the imminent divine, it is directly related to the question of purpose and thus is an area most susceptible to the undermining of that purpose, shedding baggage, a feeling of being trapped.
As it moves the different signs of the zodiac, each sign has a distinct and profound influence on your unfolding process. The reason for bringing up this example is allowing you to see that the invisible can be understood, and being able to see the position of an event within the pattern of a time structure is an aide to your perception of a greater truth and in fact, it is this perception that is the fundamental factor in the transformation process from your ignorance to your truth. You increase your ability to see and understand what your life is all about.
As the expanding and contracting forces and events in your life unfold and you can see the positioning of that event on the Gnostic circle, you increase exponentially your understanding of why it is taking place. And why is it taking place? Each moment, each event is part of your unique evolutionary process whose intention is to create the circumstances that at some point in time, will evoke and result in your awakening and the realization of who you are and what you are doing here.
The pain, the celebrations, the paralyzing fears, the losses, the wins, the confusions…all are playing their part in what is the most beautiful story in the world…your unfolding. And Time is the sacred pathway that allows with extraordinary precision these events to unfold not only at the perfect place and time but in a circular, repetitive fashion. Time is an instrument of the soul. Isn’t that amazing
I speak about the Gnostic Circle in order to make you aware of something of which you are not aware: there is a science to your life. What I am saying is that the events of your life are not as mysterious and meaningless as they may seem and you can aspire to learn about them. In doing so, you will become powerful in this life and the events in your life will no longer dictate how you end up, You will gain the knowledge and the tools of becoming to master those forces and in doing so, create heaven on earth.
At a most fundamental level, it is vital for you to understand that the unknown is not unknowable and that everything in your life is happening for a reason and that reason is always good, leading you moment by moment to the truth of who you are. Here, you begin to witness the invisible science of your life, a formula if you will, for how to live your life.
If you can allow and accept, as painful as it is, the never-ending up and down, the pleasurable and the painful, the in and the out, the loving and the terrifying, the gap will begin to close, and you will begin to see that it is the knowledge that was contained inside of you from the very beginning that negates and erases the past, separates the real from the unreal, and which leads you to freedom.
