Realization and Transformation

Perception and projection are related in the same way that realization and transformation are related. Perception automatically results in projection, a primal cause in a person’s suffering. The reason this is true is that anytime you are upset, anytime you find yourself mentally and emotionally overwhelmed by an event in your life, more often than not, you see something that is not there but of course, you don’t know that. You assume that it is there and that’s why you’re upset and that’’s why you suffer. Perception is not depending upon sight, for your mind creates upsetting thoughts even in its sleep. If you were blindfolded for an entire hour, your mind would still spend that hour projecting its thoughts onto others and the world.

Realization and transformation operate in the same manner. Realization of greater truth and wisdom automatically results in transformation because that is what truth is. Perception is projection and realization is transformation. If this is true, that realization which is synonymous with Truth, then put simply, Truth transforms. It cannot not transform. And I really want to stress this...that realization is transformation. The reason this becomes vitally important is because in your efforts to improve your life, to increase your happiness, your stability, there must be a reliable way to do that, and nothing in the horizontal realm can provide that long-term. Money can create a sense of happiness short-term but then it bottoms out. Being in a new relationship can accomplish that...short term. But then the relationship faces the demands of everyday life and you find yourself right back where you started.

If transformation is real and it is, then what are the ingredients that makeup transformation? The secret to transformation is knowledge. If you want to see the effects of the absence of knowledge, you have only to look out of your window. And if you’re brave enough, look in the mirror. Knowledge is transformation but why? Knowledge increases your ability to see, to understand, to separate effect from cause. Each individual sees according to the level of consciousness that makes up his being and it should be obvious to you that some people “see” better than others.

Some people are more conscious than other people. What allows you to increase your consciousness, which by the way is the very purpose of truth, is truth itself, is knowledge itself. The sudden realization of a truth about yourself or the world has an immediate impact on all aspects of your being...mind, body, and emotion. But let’s place truth in the correct position to its relationship to the usual suspects of mind, body, and emotion. Use your index fingers and your thumbs to create a triangle and label one side as mind, one side body, and one side as emotion. This triangle is another way to view your closed-tape-loop, the addictive and unconscious patterns you play out in your life, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Is truth contained in this triangle? Generally speaking, no.

This triangle is simply the playing out of the mind in the sensory world, repeating itself over and over and over, thinking that its experiences represent truth. But they don’t. Now open the triangle up by opening up your index fingers into a square and you see that you have a side that’s missing. What’s missing is the element of the spiritual, the vertical, the glue that is holding everything together. What allows the triangle to shift to the square is the added component of the spiritual which is synonymous with Truth. Only Truth, knowledge, allows mind, body, and emotions to fulfill their true purpose but without Truth as the captain of the ship, it’s mutiny.

Truth uses the mind-body-emotion construct as the vehicle in which to emerge not as an intangible, vague concept but as a physical reality called you. In fact, it is inevitable that one day in one lifetime, you will experience this and that is why it’s important to understand that truth is not outside of yourself, truth is who you are. In the world of truth and the world of ignorance, truth is gained and increased quite unconsciously and almost accidentally. My experience is that there are few individuals who seek truth and as a result, the truth ever so slowly emerges but only after great pain and suffering. If pain and suffering are prerequisites to realization, to truth, as many individuals are taught, then it is easy to understand why transformation takes so long. And under these circumstances why so many people are really unhappy and dissatisfied with their lives. But could there be another way? And, of course, the answer is yes. Tomorrow, when you get out of bed to begin your day, what will happen? What will happen will be whatever it is that represents your particular level of consciousness that will play itself out in your daily life. Your everyday life and circumstances are nothing but the unfoldings of what you are. Notice I didn’t say who you are.

Everywhere you go throughout your day tomorrow and every day for the rest of your life will be nothing more than a reflection of your own inner being, your desires, your fears, an echo of your own inner being. Now, where did that inner being come from? Simply put, it came from your experiences that you confused with your Self. What you see in the world is what you see in yourself. What is the one thing that can change that inner condition that in turn changes your world? It is true. It is realization. The powerful truth about your mind is that you become what you see in yourself. Everything you have ever experienced in your life has taught you that whatever thought suggests to you, you can become. But that also contains the inverse which is that if thought suggests that you are less than in any way, then you can and will become that thought that harbors your negativity and powerlessness and fear without realizing the truth of who you are. So, under these circumstances, the lie of who you are becomes the truth of who you are as far as the mind is concerned, and the only thing that is going to untie that knot and set a better path to a fulfilled life is truth...and where are you going to find that?

Truth has already been established as evidenced by your presence itself, by the mere fact, that you are alive. Physicality suggests a blueprint. The blueprint is truth. In fact, that’s exactly what your evolution, your life, is all about. Your life is about the birth of the spiritual into form, otherwise known as mind, body, and emotions. But it does little good for these understandings to remain at a philosophical or mental level...you have to begin the strenuous process of seeking the lived experience of the knowledge, of the truth that you are encountering. The lived experience places that truth in your daily life as a fixed reference point, a reference point that no one and nothing can take away from you.

Realization Blog 1.png

realization is synonymous with transformation.

Realization always results in transformation because that’s what realization is.

This is why you must consider developing a disciplined approach to your life, of beginning the process of building a bridge to the vertical, the spiritual because it is only knowledge and truth that provide you with the wisdom that you need to live your life in a fulfilled and conscious manner. The need to develop a center inside of yourself that is based upon your existence and not your experience is a mandate of your evolutionary process and it is this center that will guide you through the storms of life, through the setbacks and daily challenges. Without this center, you are at the mercy of the forces of the outer world, the periphery, the drama, the noise. It is the center, the internal voice, the inner core in which you will find your safety and your release from the daily assault of life, and that center can only be forged through the acquisition of truth, of knowledge.

So, as I have said before, the individual is a micro version of the macro truth-consciousness; it being that if it is true about the universe, it is true about you. Therefore, if destiny or blueprint to the universe has been assigned, then your existence has also been assigned a destiny or blueprint. If a destiny or blueprint has been assigned to the universe, then it is also a destiny or blueprint that is inevitable. The destiny or blueprint is buried within the triangle (mind-body-emotion) and the timeframe for bringing that blueprint to the surface is dependent upon the level of consciousness you apply to that triangle...but the destiny, the blueprint cannot be denied and must in one moment emerge from the shadows of the mind and into the physical life. In spite of the difficulties, in spite of the barriers you face, it is not hope but knowledge that allows you to take the next step, to take the risk of bringing the truth of who you are out of the shadows and into your daily life.

It is literally the only game in town. Everything else is just a sidebar.

The spiritual path that we advocate is about a change in consciousness and doesn’t highlight action in the physical world as a means to that realization and transformation.

Aspiration is the path to realization and realization is the path to transformation. Then, and only then will you begin to rise above your mind and the drama of the world.

Of all of the steps you can take to increase exponentially the quality and outcome of your life experience, it is the journey to truth that you must take. TruthSpring is dedicated to articulating and teaching that path through the laws and principles that make up the truth that awakens realization and realization that results in transformation. It being that your outer world is a mirror image of your inner world, the path to a new beginning starts with moving away just wandering around to a conscious path, a disciplined path to the truth.

Remember, as I have said before:

Truth is not acquired through thinking. Truth is what you are. Truth is what you become.

Your existence is the journey of who you are not working its way out through all of the events and situations of your life which you have brought to yourself as a vehicle to realize who you are. To become conscious is the very meaning of your existence, your evolution. This realization will result in transformation for the two are inseparably connected to one another.

In Aurdobindo’s masterpiece, Savitri, which I frequently quote, he states:

Remember why thous can’st.Find out thy soul, recover thy hid self, In silence seek God’s meaning in thy Depths. Then mortal nature change to the divine. Open God’s door, enter into his trance. Cast thought from thee, that nimble ape of light: In his tremendous hush, stilling that brain, His vast truth wake within and know and see. Cast from thee sense that veils thy spirit’s sight: In the enormous emptiness of thy mind. Thou shalt see the eternal’s body in the world, Know him in every voice heard by thy soul, In the world’s contacts meet his single touch; All things shall fold thee into his embrace. Conquer thy heart’s throbs, let the heart beat in God: Thy nature shall be the engine of his works, Thy voice shall house the mightiness of his works; Then shalt thou harbor my force and conquer Death.”

For as your mind is, so will your life be. Seek the realization and transformation in your life today while you have time and get busy living.
